This was a typography project I made in Spring 2025. My goal was to successfully use a grid for a 16 page recipe book. I had creative freedom to put whatever recipes I wanted in the book. The guide I created draws inspiration from my childhood. The color palette is directly taken from the paint swatches of the rooms I grew up in. I based the style and composition off how I remember my mom’s cookbook, always sitting on the counter with papers spilling out of it. She always had lot of clippings from magazine recipes and messily scrawled sticky notes all tucked into a personal little notebook. I ended up gifting this to her for Mother’s Day of that Spring.
